It was my oldest's 20th birthday yesterday and he wanted grilled Margherita Pizza for dinner. We had never tried pizza on the grill before and to my surprise it was easy and tasted great. You do have to be very careful not to let it burn so cook on low heat and watch carefully. I baked the crust in the oven at 425 until the dough was slightly cooked but not brown before putting it on the grill. There was an article in the Minneapolis Star Tribune on grilled pizza and they had suggested that method. It made the pizzas easy to handle. The crust was perfectly crispy. We used this dough recipe and this topping recipe.
